Does it say anything on the Gates belts? I have an account with Gates and will probably be able to get them.

I'll check the part#s of the Gates belt and post them ASAP. I had a bad race day yesterday.....:( Broke the front shock tower at the end of our first heat.....

Here's the gates part number for the mid belt: GATES 196-2GT 137J 038

For the BANDO rear belt: BANDO STS S3M 366

Fortunately enough, I was able to get it from a fellow XX4 racer who was in the same boat as I am. The rear belt we are using now is made by BANDO from Japan and the front/mid belts are made by Gates from the USA. It is used in Xerox machines (I think). They are black in color and have the same dimensions of the Losi ones. We've done some track time with these belts and they are holding up very well. There are three of us using these belts but the mid belt is still skipping a bit that's why I did the belt tensioner mod. :)
.

master pinoylst,
here's my version belt tensioner! thanks to your idea, hope this one will keep the teeth into places. For now it feels tighter when spining the spur,
and the decrease free wheeling...

What size are those bearings?

emer 03-07-2008 03:20 AM

The bearing size if I'm not mistaken is 3mm ID x 6mm OD x 3mm thickness/ht.
