yea Ive been looking around and its november at modelsport I think also. I guess a similar story everywhere.

Its actually cheaper than the hotbodies car I was looking at - indeed with the needed hopups its cheaper than the tamiya too I guess.

Anything from AE with an 'FT' after it's name = expensive !

I fancy something that's not too expensive as i'll only be racing at GTCC.

BenG 23-09-2006 02:17 PM

go with a T2R or a cyclone r then;)

ashleyb4 23-09-2006 09:48 PM

The hotbodies "looks" a bit cheap compared to the Xray which is actually cheaper to buy at the places Ive looked.
The hotbodies looks no better made than my MR4TC-custom. Which was 100quid including a shell, new.

Does anyone know anything about the RC Labs Cars ?

They are for sale on Modeltech's website and they look very well engineered ?

Ta.

jimmy 26-09-2006 10:18 PM

Are they on sale because they are old ? or ?

I remember seeing the RC Labs cars on their site but it was years ago, not really heard much about them for a good while, they look nice I guess.

footey 27-09-2006 09:47 AM

ive run them and i really liked the cars i started racing buggy now but i am thinking of a tc again and i would buy a lab cheers

jimmy 27-09-2006 09:51 AM

Andy just bought a T2R this morning, so looks like thats the way to go.

BenG 27-09-2006 10:46 AM

yeah, go with a T2R, I tried my T2 on satuday, and despite the 8t motor strapped in, and my 6 month absence from racing, it never broke. Unlike my RDX.......

Also, TBH, I threw it together, and rushed it, so set-up was pretty crap LOL ( i.e. toe in one side, toe-out the other) but it still turned over 20 laps, not bad due to my absence from racing, and it been a new car e.t.c I was only 2-3 laps down to the leader:D:D

jimmy 28-09-2006 09:25 PM

What do you think of the RDX ? Been offered one.

buzz 28-09-2006 10:06 PM

RDX = Really Delicate Xray ;)

BenG 29-09-2006 07:08 AM

Erm, RDX is uber fast, great handling, and uber fragile, dont touch it;)

Or you can have my RDX on the cheap....:D

jimmy 29-09-2006 07:18 AM

lol, I will have to try and not crash then

BenG 29-09-2006 08:57 AM

No, it will break anyway. Honestly, opt ofr the T2R, cos the RDX loves randomly breaking. I have hit a pipe flat out, not broke a single thing, but was running it round at about 5 m.p.h to test it out, and it broke when I clipped a corner.

Jimmy, I begeth you, do not buy an RDX, unless you are willing to buy lots of (expensive) spares, and be let down by its inconsistent strength;)

jimmy 29-09-2006 09:12 AM

:p sounds like it would be interesting then, never know what ya might get! what breaks on the thing then ? wishbones, hubs and hub carriers ?
