xtreme-rc 11-09-2012 06:30 PM

hi,
this comes up every year, the only thing you can do is go to the agm and vote it out. ed is an f5 according to the rules and is able to attend

mikeyscott 11-09-2012 06:32 PM

I'm sure there will be plenty of other fast people there.

If it had been closer I know Glenn Westwood would prob have attended etc.

An F5 is an F5

Disco-Panda 11-09-2012 06:37 PM

I'll be there :)

lending a hand to anyone who may require it and possibly helping the Daddio up on the Rostrum :)

also just general Banter :)

discostu 11-09-2012 06:44 PM

Totally agree the rules are the rules I don't know about you lot in my view there is only one guy to beat and that is ed I'm looking forward to this one

Whoop whoop roll on the weekend

Me either!

Your either F2 or F3 and below??
surely you can't be both?

If your saying rules are rules and he can enter, how did he get in the F2's as an F5?

Ralls Racing 11-09-2012 07:23 PM

from my understanding. entries for the f2's is given from your regional standing. as ed was top non f1 he was top qualifier from our region. the f2 finals is not just for f2's, all other than f1 can enter but priority will be given to f2's. i dont beleive we filled our quota of places in the f2's as was, so ed would have no troubles in getting a place.

As Nathan says, I think myself, James Clifford and Michael Vincent were the only F2's who entered from the south-east, So this leaves spaces open to other formula grades from the SE, Hence why Ed could enter, Not much wrong with that I'd say although Ed is quite fast for an F5 lol :p

KennyClark 11-09-2012 07:52 PM

Really looking forward to this weekend.
Hopefully the weather stays dry!

scotty_big_flip 11-09-2012 08:16 PM

I'm amazed Ed wasn't an F1 in the past:o
He was always quick when he did proper racing ( sorry 10th) :p

again if you look back 2008 i think at broxtow jamie booth won wasnt he european chapion and didnt he make many worlds a finals in the 90s

wouldnt it be funny if massaimi came and raced the eos in the uk he would be an f5 too.

i think you should all put your efforts in trying to beat ed rather than moaning about it.

see you at the weekend

well said Stu.
we may not like racing against guys who have previously been F1's, but if they have moved back to F5 under the rules then they are just as entitled to race as the rest of us. Just means we have to up our game.

The F3's are generally won by some F3 who has developed at a fast rate anyway and secured an F1 during that season.

The only way round it would be to ban any F1 from dropping lower than an F2 no matter how long they have away from the sport, but that would be a bit harsh.

Spencer Mulcahy 12-09-2012 02:32 PM

Will there be a shop there with a stock of balistic buggy greens just in case my usual source cant get any cheers.

Ralls Racing 12-09-2012 02:36 PM

we will be there with a good stock but are taking pre orders as always

footey 12-09-2012 03:40 PM

not that im racing this event but isnt there a rule where F1s who have a break cant go any lower than a f3 licence { ed would still be alowed to race } :)

matdodd 12-09-2012 04:33 PM

Hi Les,
I thought he must of been at some point I remember him running in C/B finals with us back then.
See you Sunday

The rule is 5 years after losing your F1 you can drop to F3

discothesnake 12-09-2012 04:42 PM

I really like the fact that former F1's can run at these meetings. I learn more from these one off meetings than i do at a whole regional season.

I love watching the quick guys.

I also think there will be more fast guys at the F345's than there was at the F2's.

Remember that guys like Tony Edvoka are F1's but he gets to run in veterans.

Dave
