Few more pics with the used Boxart wheels, they dont look too bad, still benefit from a new set, but not too bad.....must do the tyre lettering, its a rite of passage lol.

Painted the tyre lettering the other day, and, managed to pick up a NIP chain guard set, so, save for the new wheels, this baby is ready for its final parts to be fitted, and i can call it done, i think the peroxide bleached wheels on her now dont look bad at all, no scuffs to mention, and now, nice and white!

Hi

What peroxide did you use lee?

ralphee 20-10-2012 04:12 AM

Cant recall buddy, the wife got a hold of it for me, yup, the WIFE got it for me, to bleach wheels, on a toy car hehe!
Just ask in your local Chemist mate. I just tipped it in a steel bowl, put the wheels in, and left out in the sunlight all day.

Sorry, I just discovered that post... Can you tell me a little more about that shortening? Was it a common mod? How was it achieved?

Thanks!
