You've finally seen sense and got a XXX-SCT, with LRP running gear of course?

i'm in for camping if its available... sooner sleep in a field night before than do a 3 hour cross country drive before a race meeting!... don't even get to tickle a motorway to this one :o

Hi Guys,

Camping is available at £5 per tent. We will open he doors at 12pm. Strictly NO practice on the Saturday. There will be no toilets overnight however the garden centre toilets will be open until 5.30pm and there are local facilities available nearby.

It's being discussed at the moment.

The weather forecast looks ok for Sunday, Will it be access to the site that might be a problem if there is heavy rain leading up to the event?

Hpi_guy 10-07-2012 12:12 PM

the best solution for that Rob it for everyone to arrive in a tractorrr

jimmy noke 10-07-2012 01:41 PM

Saturday's forecast not looking good though, heavy rain most of the day wonder when a decision will be reached.....

1rcdad 10-07-2012 02:19 PM

If the track is waterlogged could be good for hovercraft racing. The fields opposite my house have 5cm standing water on them.

Hpi_guy 10-07-2012 02:39 PM

Fit sand paddles and go aqua planing, or tractor racing :D

Hi Guys,

I'm going over to the site to have a look tomorrow, it should be ok we've had a couple of dry-ish days. Where has the summer gone this year??

jimmy noke 10-07-2012 03:11 PM

Fingers crossed Matey but like I say weather looking really crap for Saturday it's forecast heavy rain your end all day. Hope I'm wrong

JCJC 10-07-2012 04:28 PM

Hope you can make a decision Saturday cos nobody wants to travel up Sunday and then be turned away

Hpi_guy 11-07-2012 12:14 PM

More of this good weather and should dry the track beautifully

Any news?

Rnd 4 Venue Change to Coventry

We’ve had word from Matt at Telstar that the track condition is not looking good

The forecast is not good for the next couple of days, so the grass track will not have a chance to dry out.

The decision has been taken to move the meeting to Coventry on the Astroturf track as this is the closest venue to the Telstar track, so hopefully will mean the least inconvenience to drivers.

We hope this will be acceptable to all the drivers and see this as the most sensible option rather than postponing the meeting as there are no dates available in the calendar.

Obviously if any pre-paid drivers require a refund then please use the enquiry form on the UK Short Course web site to let us know.

Our thanks have to go out to Matt and the Telstar team for their efforts and thank you for making the hard decision in good time, thus allowing us to move the meeting.

Look forward to seeing you all Sunday.

Thanks

Chris
