Thanks to all the Longbenton car club team and the guys at Dynamix for the hard work running the meeting and building the track.

Thanks to the crew at Dynamix for a great weekends racing, thought the rain was going to spoil it for a while but it turned out ok in the end
I hope the support for this new venue grows and makes the track and facilities better for the future.. It's been a long time since we've had a permanent track in this area so well done for getting it off the ground

Thanks to everyone involved @ Dynamix, with special thanks to Paul W and Mike W for running a great meeting.

Like Jeff says 2 posts up, this is a great venue with great potential. Really enjoyed 4WD, just a pity my car didn't move from the grid in the final.

Regional

Just a quick thank you to all the racers from the this weekends regional. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves even though the weather wasn't what we all wanted.

A big credit must go all the helpers prior to the meeting for all their hard work over the past few months to get the track ready. Also a very big thank you to all ther racers that helped on Sunday clearing the water off the track and allowing us to carry on racing.

Thank you to Stuart Craig for running race control on Saturday.

Hopefully we can do the same next year.

We have a couple of requests to do an intercut series so watch this space.

See you all at teesside.

Mike

Well done to everyone involved at making the meeting happen:thumbsup:
The track is good and as Chris says a couple of changes can only make it better. I also think the double will be better as a table top. So keep up the good work.

I have to say that it was great to see everyone helping to get the track drained so we could get the last round and finals in awesome

Do we have the 4WD Results?

I am busy with the videos and want to update the descriptions as with the 2wd to state the results of the top 3 drivers.

Great to hear everyone had a good weekend and all the positive comments about the venue - could almost make me considering buying a buggy!
Just a quick note really - Longbenton is no longer - we are now NRCR @ Tynemet College on a monday night. Wouldn't want anyone thinking Longbenton still runs on thursdays and wasting their time turning up!

Totally echo what's been said above, props to Mike & the rest of the team, it's a really good venue taking into account how much work has been done on the track in such a short space of time

Also like to say thanks to Steve, Jeff & Dave for all the help they gave me on the sunday morning with the motor issues :)

Regional

Ladies and gents
firstly i would like to thank all the helping hands who supported the club in getting the track ready and during the weekend a real big thank you from the team @ dynamix.
It was great how every one pulled together to ensue the rain didn’t stop the meeting, and to have the constructive positive feed back by both the
guys who attended on both days and also the campers / caravaners.

As mentioned it is a fledgling club / track and with your support the track can develop and improve. Hope to have you all back trackside soon as we are working on a couple of large events during the summer.
see you all at Teesside

once a thank you

Totally agree with what Mike has said here and would just like to add my own thanks to everyone involved at the meeting, a job well done:)

No problem with the help Mike, anytime mate;) we got it going in the end:thumbsup:

dpackster1980 28-06-2012 08:10 PM

Well I loved it, the track is definitely a good basis to build on. The double definitely needs to be a table top so your not forced to try and clear it in one.

Drainage would go next on the list after the tabe top. Due to the ground the track is on its going to be a headache, other than that very good start to what has the potential to be right up there with the other permanent tracks in the Regional series.

chris68nufc 05-07-2012 08:50 PM

Have the results been published anywhere? Would be nice to see them before we go to Teeside for their Regional comp?!!

TangerineDream 06-07-2012 05:10 PM

Heard Bill is doing them, though maybe a rumour. Would be nice if we knew who is meant to be doing it

As per last round of the regionals - I can (and will) publish any results IF SOMEONE WOULD CARE TO SEND ME A COPY OF THE DATABASE.

Till then, not a lot I can do. :(

chris68nufc 13-07-2012 06:58 PM

Who do we need to ask for the database then I will send them to Bill 'legend' Allison!
