No it was my normal cells, well my new fat cobra's, there pretty lively :woot:

And I had it set short wheelbase and BB's on...certainly was a wheelie monster, thing was it was not right off the corners either it was coming up on the mid range, was interesting to drive like that.

:woot: impressive.

Well it looked ace even if it wasn`t that quick. Do you run the long wheel base usually E, or does it depend from track to track?

Big E 25-04-2008 10:28 AM

Just depends on the track.

Northy 25-04-2008 10:43 AM

Ellis,

Do you have a 'base' set-up you could provide me for the 4 gear car please?
And also some notes on what you most likely change first, and for what reason.

Hope that's not asking too much.

Cheers G

Here you go G.

I don't really change too much to be honest. I play with the wheelbase a bit. If you have plenty of grip then I normally run long or if it is bumpy. If you want extra traction then go short but it does get a little worse on the bumps then so I sometimes lower the rear oil by 5wt when I do this. Also if it is grounding too much off big jumps then shorter wheelbase will help if it good on the bumps round the rest of the track.

Rear roll bar goes on and off depending on how much roll the rear has and how much steering I want but other than that I just play with the inner front camber link height to just dial the steering in to the tracks.

Hope that all helps.

E.

hi Ellis, still quite new to the car. I notice on the set up sheet you have put E speed high, does this mean you have the camber link mod parts mounted 'upside down'?

:p The right way to use them :p

Big E 26-04-2008 04:32 PM

Yeah you can run them either way up to change the grip.

Down is more grip so flipped is less :woot:

Cool thing is you can also put washers between the camber link extender and the bulkhead...
