Timing seems awful close to the national, not some disgruntled racer with a twisted mind because they didn't get an entry to a RHR event?

I know people will say who would do that, but there are plenty of screwed up people out there and I'm sure some unfortunately in this hobby.

AfroP 03-05-2012 10:28 PM

pure and absolute scum

Unfortunately we are dealing with a real blight on society these days. I remember a government 'official' appearing on a very well known T.V chat show earlier this year and stating that 'In the last decade hate crime and vandalism have dropped in the U.K by nearly 70%'.....hmmmm.. It is an all too frequent sight these days both in rural and urban community settings. I'm sure we all agree that the real answer for such malicious and destructive behaviour is to fundamentaly alter how young people are being raised, educated, and disciplined. Sounds like a big job...I guess it is, but until modern society unites to begin to resolve the issues that plague youth culture and also effect the wider population, mindless and malicious vandalism will always be there. I am very sad for the guys at RHR and I wish James and the rest of the dedicated crew up there the very best of luck getting things sorted. No doubt the idiots who were responsible for such a horrible attack have no concept that not only is this somebodys livelyhood, but it is also a source of passion, relaxation and education for hundreds of people...draw inspiration from the fact that our hobby has so many wonderful characters and amazing experiences that we will NEVER be beaten or supressed by such mindless acts of selfishness.

Big love and best wishes from all of us down in the Black Country guys.
Good luck:thumbsup:

James and crew, are you there all weekend? I can't promise but would really like to come down and help in some way

I'd like motion triggered flame throwers better :)

On a serious note, if there is any cctv footage/pics I'd post it publicly and try get the scumbags named and shamed.

Hope you did ring the police as you never know, they were probably dumb enough to leave their fingerprint all over the place too.

James 04-05-2012 07:03 PM

Police have been great, they were out immediately and scenes of crime took some great fingerprints, DNA and various relevant artefacts back with them, they even phoned me this evening with an update, plus the insurers have been very helpful so far (hopefully). We've managed to pretty much make good race control and a few other bits, new windows, door, locks, cleanup etcetc and had a bit of a shopping trip for all the nicked stuff- cables, walkie talkies, spades, you name it! and so on.. Thankfully the computer/screen/etc still work that they'd chucked about and covered in cooking oil and washing up liquid (wtf:wtf:) Doing the cafe and toilet block tommorrow so getting there nicely - all will be good for the national! Thanks for all the offers of support, all very much appreciated

This is bad chaps. People these days!!!
Glad the clean up is going well!
People down & around the track should keep eys & ears open as crims always like to return to the scene of crime or like to bost about it!!

Cooper 07-05-2012 09:25 AM

:thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown:

time for a silent alarm/hidden cctv directly transmitting images to your house James. Only way to catch them red handed.
Good luck with rebuilding!

Lonestar 07-05-2012 09:43 AM

Hi James, there's morons all across the world... greets from Switzerland, keep it up!!! Paul

telboy 07-05-2012 10:55 PM

The sad thing is (and I think this was mentioned last time it happened) this could quite easily be something to do with the people that actually race there. If not directly, but someones friends who have been with them to watch them race. They may have told their friends about the racing or something and it can all escalate from there. It only take one word to the wrong person/friend and this is what can happen.

I know it's horrible to think this but its a possibility.

I've helped out over there a few times, and when it happened last time it really p*ssed us off because we saw all the hard work being put in by a few so that many can race.
And to see that it happened again, well...

Chop their friggin fingers off!
It should be the penalty for this sort of thing, one knuckle at a time, so their fingers get shorter and shorter. They'd think twice after a few sessions of chop suey! Plus every one would be able to see what theiving little scumbags they are!

Hpi_guy 08-05-2012 09:07 PM

I say the best punishment for them is to make them rebuild the track back as it was before and do a year of community service, if the prison system won't work then at least get something back from them as a form of punishment
