First of all a very big THANKS for all your effort in running this meeting to all involved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsu p::thumbsup:

I very much enjoyed my days racing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as the foams go, I think you should have allowed them. Any tyre means any tyre. Now I only borrowed some, but my car was much better with them, new car and all. BUT.... I respect your decision and happily ran rubber tyres for the rest of the day.
So please don't anyone get upset by peoples opinions, a great days racing was had!!!!!! And I will def go again, even though it was a 250+ mile round trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again:thumbsup:

We've probably got enough for atleast one heat now :D

mobile chicane 17-11-2008 06:36 PM

great weekend of racing I even made the d final in 4wd :)

big thanks to andy and kev and richard and all the others who helped put on a megga event.

I only broke 1 wishbone in 3 days racing :woot:

next buggy nite is friday the 28th I believe.

showtime 17-11-2008 06:56 PM

great weekends racing again
thanks to the guys from the club for putting it on & thanks for everybody who turned up to enjoy some good racing on 2 very enjoyable tracks

some people drove a lot of miles to attend this & from what i gather they are glad they did. you can tell the A final guys liked it as after the race finished they just kept going round until their packs died
the big jump right in front of the rostrum obviously hit the spot as well because pretty much everyone was smiling when they came down the steps. its not often your car comes past you at head height only a couple of feet away :woot:

it was a shame the track got slower during 2wd as the grip went but FTD actually made qualifying very exciting on the Sunday as the track was getting faster every round & Tony Evdoka was getting more & more hyped with every run of the fast heats :woot:

there is an unconfirmed rumour that there will be some more full days racing there on Sundays over the winter rather than just the friday club nights! i'm sure Andy will confirm as soon as this is finalised

book me in mate ;)

Okay here are just a few. I thought I will upload them as it may be a little while until my report is done.

Nobody can understand just how hard it is to take photos in there. I have shot inside indoor venues before, and they are hard. DXR for the Neo Invitational 2006, Pro-Line 2007 and Neo08. I have also done Laon in France for the 1/8th indoor Euros and plenty of others... but Newbury is without a doubt the hardest for photos!

I wouldn't have gone to so much effort for good photos if it wasn't for the oOple/JConcepts competition, once my report is done I am going to enter it into that. :) I was shooting around 1/80th at f/4.0 with ISO1600 to get these. Very tricky!

Photos follow (not many 2wd as I didn't race the 2wd day), enjoy:

ginger fixit 18-11-2008 07:32 AM

hi guys re some more week end meetings

im in favour but i cant run them i race flat stuff on carpet all winter and that takes priority we only did this date cos im not doing the jarrow national

unfortunatly my other key holder/race director for off road has had to resign from the commitee due to work load.

so what im saying is dont hold your breath at this stage if we can get a new race director and possibly richard to have the keys and steve agrees(the land lord) then possibly

i will let you all know
