We also have some super-duper (and strangely very heavy) lino this time to add some more variation to the track surface. Oh, and you can spill as much (shock) oil on it as you like!

Mark - have you seriously gone & bought a Durango? I'm gonna love beating you even more now. :p

Whoop, lino should be good, are the table top legs repaired now?

The Doctor 09-12-2009 08:43 PM

"This week I shall be mostly fixing...

...table-top legs!"

I'll bring them with me on Saturday morning (not racing this Friday ).

Just to let everyone know, if you tried to book in over the last few days through the website there was a bit of a problem with the booking in form. It has now been fixed. So if you did try and book in for tommorow then please try again now.

Photos from Round 3 are now up in the West Bridgford section of the forum. :D

Just got myself a sc10 rtr and planning to come racing on the 8th of jan (practice) and then race in the championship. Is the rtr motor and speedo okay to use?

thanks

mark christopher 19-12-2009 07:19 PM

not sure about motor as there is a limit of 19 turn, do you have anything else?

Short Course Trucks

http://www.oople.com/images/stories/sc10.jpg
  • 1:10 scale electric Short Course Based Truck
  • 2wd only
  • Kit tyres only may be used, but can be used cross platform i.e SC10 kit tyres on a slash etc.
  • Geared Diff
  • 10.5 Brushless or 19 turn brushed motor limit.

not at the momemt. the rtr has a reedy radon which is 17t :/. might have to get hold of a 19t then :P

mark christopher 19-12-2009 08:29 PM

im sure the lads running the club will confirm, id say it wont be any faster than a 10.5 brushless, and as its rtr kit.... but its thier shout

Aran 19-12-2009 08:38 PM

Yeah I was told the when I was there the other week the RTR is fine, just wanted to make sure when i noticed the rules up on their site.

If not ill get the reedy challenge 19t motor for £32 off apex models.

pat*1 20-12-2009 10:23 AM

For club night you can run what ever you want, but for the indoor championship it must be 19t or 10.5 brushless.

Aran 20-12-2009 05:46 PM

ah okay cool.

ill get hold of a 19t then.

do you think this will be okay?

Yeah that should be fine...

antnee 20-12-2009 11:42 PM

While we are on the subject of SC10's, please make sure you have kit tyres (you can swap across kits though), you can use other wheels if you are having problems sourcing wheels

Aran 21-12-2009 12:44 AM

yeah saw the rules on the site, only reason i ask is cause i was told the stock reedy radon 17t motor is less powerful than most 19t. but dont matter ill go for either the reedy challenge 19t or venom 19x2, not sure if its worth spending the extra money on the reedy though.

cheers dudes :D
