Is this a typo :eh?:

We received a quick update from the Durango team, who are present at this weeks European Championships in Finland, on todays 4wd practice. Durango team driver Jörn Neumann, who finished 8th in the 2wd class event, set the fastest lap time after 7 rounds of practice just in front of newly crowned 2wd European Champion Neil Cragg, driving the JConcepts BJ4WE, while Tamiya driver Hupo Hönigl ended the day with the 3rd quickest lap time. Friday sees final practice and the beginning of qualifying with the final qualfiying rounds and the finals taking place on Saturday.

Best regards,
Matti Korvenmaa, Chief Timekeeper / Euros 2007

Thats great Matti! Though I don't think i've much of a need for it myself it's cool to watch these things as I know from previous big events I couldn't attend. You and the other organisers have done a great job

Bus Driver 27-07-2007 06:20 AM

The sound is awsome with the vid now.

Bus Driver 27-07-2007 06:25 AM

How have the 4wd been holding up on this track?Looks pretty car friendly.

copter 27-07-2007 06:43 AM

Really the audio is OK? I bought the microphone yesterday but it was no good and we needed to come up with alternative solution. So is it currently OK? We have been testing couple different setups during last hour so just wanted to know that is it still OK or was it OK with some previous setup etc?

B44 ?

Are ther any B44s out on the track? Did anybody announce they would race them in the future (esp. Mr Cragg) ? Enjoy your time in Finland.

Great Job, Jimmy, as always.

copter 27-07-2007 06:57 AM

No B44s at the event as far as I know. I was having dinner with Levänen on Wednesday and I understood that they still have some minor work to do with it.

Interesting to see the Tricky is using the xxx4. Whats the extra scoope on the side of the body  It will be interesting to see how many different types of cars make the A final.

Bus Driver 27-07-2007 07:20 AM

Yes audio is very good.It is working fine.

Cruise 27-07-2007 07:36 AM

A little more "Scotty" on the audio would be great.

Cruise

copter 27-07-2007 07:42 AM

It's still practice, but Scotty will be talking most of the time. I'm myself the other guy who's speaking. Scotty will do all the talking during the heats and I'll handle announcements related to timing, starting etc..

Cruise 27-07-2007 07:47 AM

copter 27-07-2007 07:50 AM

Ok. Let's see what we can do about it..

Nick Goodall 27-07-2007 08:35 AM

Just looking at the final practise results coming through, does it look like Ben Riley has been disqualified? There's a big DQ next to his name but he had a quick time so thinking something must have happened??

Southwell 27-07-2007 08:40 AM

Possibly a shell vent violation?

copter 27-07-2007 08:42 AM

Ben Riley didn't bring his car to the inspection.

Rob 27-07-2007 08:44 AM

Have they re-covered the triple?

Great to have the sound now, will be good to watch the finals.

copter 27-07-2007 08:50 AM

Yes, carpet was replaced last night.
