Nah the Cyber10 is HPI, the D4 was Hot Bodies. Totally different....apart from a few parts. :p

the cyber 10 is not a professional racing buggy like the d4 and hot bodies would not replace it with that there entire history has shown that they improve there vehicles not downgrade.
i believe the reason the d4 has been presumably discontinued was the HB euro and HB america or whoever is in charge of american and European stuff couldn't come to terms with something really stupid like the standard order price or standard order quantity

at least this is what i have come to understand over here in america but i could be wrong.

oh and iv herd a rumor that they may have a 2wd coming out this year being released as a rtr under hpi and will have a full kit early next year.

It should not be too difficult for HPI to convert the E-Firestorm, should it? :D

A down grade in spec maybe, but once the Cyber has a slipper put into it, it's a far superior car on track!!
:)

if it was truley better it would be released under hot bodies not hpi

peetbee 23-03-2010 11:03 PM

I don't think HPI/Hot Bodies can make their minds up which is the premium brand at the moment!

HPI has a 2wd stadium truck. HB may take this design and modify it a bit...

Not Necesarily True...

HB is a race based brand and only around 10% of the market is aware of it.

HPI is a far superior brand proposition and known to more people both inside the race scene and out, So by bringing decent raceable products under the HPI banner we should encourage more people into the sport

The Cyber makes sense as an HPI product for exactly the reasons Paunch has mentioned, but that still leaves room for a sort of 'Cyber Pro' to be released, possibly with a Hot Bodies name, and prefitted with the slipper, alloy shocks, centre UJ's and ti turnbuckles.
But then again, whilst the Blitz belongs with HPI, the HSE version is apparently also going to be HPI, and not HB so who knows.....
