Happens all day long on ebay.

Even things like Novak gear. How many people buy Novak products not Uk stock. Im sure CML etc, have things in place to try and prevent it etc.

Many years ago, Schumacher Uk had just brought the Bosscat out. A UK modelshop actually bought 10 kits from the states, to sell in the Uk market, Schumacher found out, and wasnt too happy.

I cant remember what shop it was, but im sure someone on here will know about it lol.

We currently have Ansmann head office Germany on the case and should have it sorted by the end of the week.

but to be honest, by the time you pay deliver and import duty tax, it doesnt work out a great deal cheaper anyway, so i dont think its going to effect Uk sales much to be honest.

To be honest, your right, i tend to buy most stuff from the Uk, I support Uk model shops and stupidly even bought a 501 from the Uk. I would neved do this again though as they dont wont to support the car but thats another story and i understand the reason why.

The only parts that i buy, overseas are Tamiya spares as they are not easily available over here and they are a lot more expensive etc.

Thanks

it is difficult to stop ALL sellers, but someone like RCMART, they are so big and obvious.

Deffo, to be honest with big companies as well, as they buy so much , they could prob get away with it as well.

:woot:

Bazzokajoe 22-06-2009 12:31 PM

its already been removed from ebay.... either that or they have all been bought which i doubt as there were at least 10 available :P.... ansmann work quickly ehh?

carty 22-06-2009 04:33 PM

they have sold them all, as i went direct to rc mart to get one and they will be getting some more in soon.

Dinball is just a large hobby shop, not a distributor.

If you are instigating proceedings against a hobby shop in Hong Kong, shall we presume you have issued a contract to every shop that sells your products insisting they can't sell them outside of Europe?:eh?:

It's not as if they are going to affect your business, selling a relatively small number of kits compared to what Ansmann will sell, as it's no cheaper than buying a UK kit it's pointless to buy from them. At least there's more customers who will be needing spares.:woot:

Jamie.T 22-06-2009 08:14 PM

Youve clearly mis-understood Terry. A contract was put in place to prevent Team C being available to the UK. Ansmann's contract is with Team C directly but its their job to make sure their shops in china/japan dont import large quantities to the UK.

The odd 1 or 2 will always sneak through the net, but Dinball are a big outfit who can supply massive quantities. This was considered a serious breach of contract by Ansmann and actions have today been taken.

So Ansmann have NOT taken any proceedings with Dinaball, but Team C, its up to them to sort the problem out with Dinball direct.

terry.sc 23-06-2009 01:27 AM

So I presume Dinball won't be buying any more kits then, as the problem with the internet is that it's impossible to prevent anyone in the world buying from anywhere.

I guess you had better check out http://www.precisionrc.com as well.;)

BTW I'll be buying a Mad Rat in the UK, I'd rather support my local suppliers.

I would also suggest contacting Fibre-lyte, I'm sure they would have no problem making upgrade carbon or csc T plates.

Jamie.T 23-06-2009 08:53 AM

As i just said Terry, we cannot prevent them from entering the UK completely, but we can stop bigger more obvious sellers like Dinball.

LOL at the price of the x-pro price with precision-rc, $146 plus $40 for delivery to the uk. And thats before you pay import duty tax.

Also Terry, if you read through some of the Ansmann threads you will see that Ryan on here is already working on some upgrade carbon parts including a "T" piece http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26072

from what i have seen when i was watching since mine wasnt a runner its to file the axles and a bit off the hex aperently its not allot you need to lose

DCM 25-06-2009 06:41 PM

I am chatting to the Ansmann racing sales manager about getting some items either 'modified' as a roling change, to make the car legal, if not, then I may get in touch with RW and have the bits made, including a proline axle conversion, to allow the use of B4 rear wheels.
