Very nice, loving the colours with this design they just work so well.

@ Issac - Cheers dude, I put an blue pearl on and if it had been sunny when I took the photo's you'd see the effect over the black. Unfortunately with the current weather that wasn't to be. Will try and get some photo's of it Track Side.

@ UPD - Graham, thanks for re posting fella, I always seem to post just as the page is running out... I'm liking the simplicity of these last few I've posted, it's nice to do normal race paint rather the complicated stuff I normally do.

@ Gainsy - who are you ? :p  all book in fella. Will update you as and when.

Cheers Ian, I bet this took way longer than you will admit and the detail is just outstanding. It's also just as I wanted, nice and clean and simple but oh so very well laid out and the colours just compliment each other.

That is stunning.

eyeayen 08-06-2012 11:20 PM

Thank you Disco, the one above it the simplified version of this.

Thought I'd post a couple of pics with the shell on the buggy. Again just as I liked, clean and simple but this time with a real bright neon red that is also on the undertray. At least no marshal can say he didn't see it!!!

Lots of scrap lexan, some tests, a bit of swearing, numerous packets of brightly coloured sweets into the early hours of the mornings, a very patient customers, a remarkable inspirational speech from the Rev. Dwayne T Williams - although he did go on a bit, a plague of locus and some luck... Yep I think that just about sums it up

It's really easy, if you look at it long enough you'll work it out. Anyone on here could do it :)

SHY 21-06-2012 07:28 AM

LOL!!!

Loving the designs Ian - can't (but obviously appreciate I have to) wait for mine

eyeayen 21-06-2012 09:33 AM

Thanks guys. I wish I was quicker but it is something I love doing and I hope that shows in my work. That said I never expect my shells to just be left on the shelf and looked at I'd much rather see them on the track mixing it up in a race rather than gathering dust, I'm not precious about my paintwork once I've photographed it you can do what you want but they belong on the track.

SHY 21-06-2012 11:16 AM

Have to agree there! Although sometimes whey you've 100% refurbished the whole car, and made a great new shell... it's almost tempting to shelf it

Agreed! That is one of the most (if not THE) stand out paintjobs I've yet to see! It's so clean and sharp, and you get this really cool 3D like effect!

Now this "idea" I don't think I can resist to copy at some time

whittaker52 16-07-2012 02:36 PM

Absolutely stunning work, I especially like the tron inspired design!

eyeayen 16-07-2012 07:43 PM

Thanks for all your positive comments people, much appreciated.

The TRON shell seems to be almost everyone's fav, many many hours
