Mike Hudson 18-12-2007 06:32 PM

wish i was in the c final but i had problems most races, first heat my front shock rod end came off, second heat my car cut out for sum reason, third heat my crystal set was dodgy and kept cutting my car out, fourth heat i finished but was downed from all the problems before hand then put in the Dfinal my brushed motor started to die half way through and worse than 540 motor but i still managed to lead the race and win, will be better next time i hope with a new brushless, more inspiring shell and the new upgrades for the X6 :D all in all the day was gr8 though and many thanx to trcc for well put together fun day :)

ben 18-12-2007 06:35 PM

I cant believe i lent you my spare shock rod ends then went and broke mine a couple of heats later. You owe me mike.

lil ben

Mike Hudson 18-12-2007 06:41 PM

AndyM 18-12-2007 06:58 PM

yeh it was a handout, but the guy watchin the computer was too silly to realise,

i think i got up to about 6th when i realised, so i slowed down nd let others finish without me getting in the way, because there is no real way of proving where i finished is there?? so i let the others get on with it,

not a happy bunny:mad:

The only thing i will say about going to teesside is its amazing how much of a local knowledge track it is. Which doesn`t really bother me as the drivers have been quick enough to put the car in the A but, it seems they get over excited and its their "FA cup final" and just decide to drive through people who will be competing in all of the series:rolleyes:

Apart from that it was a good day for me

Lee, i dont know you and you dont know me. im not sure why you felt the need to post your comments about "local" teesside drivers?

As far as i know i was the only "local" in the 4WD A final. I ran a brand new car on untested tyres on a track we have never ran before , so my local knowledge advantage extended to the fact that i know the cantine knocks out a great bacon butty and thats about it.

I know i didnt hit , bump or push you in the final, as i did none of the above to anyone ( apart from tom, who i waited for) so i think you have your facts well and truly wrong.

I, like some other teesside "locals" dont race the full season of 1/10th offroad, simply because we race other classes and have a lot of date clashes, we have some extremely talented and accomplished drivers in teesside that you wont know if you only race electric buggies but are very highly respected in other classes of rc racing. to say someone only got to where he is because of local track knowledge is very niave and even arrogant.

Tom Cockerill if you read this, i really enjoyed the battle in the final. I still couldnt catch you even with my huge advantage of "local track knowledge" :D:D excellent driving mate.

Peter, i know quite a few of the teesside lads, i used to race onroad, i also know it wasn`t you who took me and other drivers out during the final, the only reason i said it was a local lad was because he told me it was the club he raced at most. I apologise if i offended you or anyone else in teesside, and yes you do have some good drivers and i know most would not take someone out intentionally but i have heard that this driver has a reputation for it.

Cheers

Lee

Thank you for your reply and appology Lee, when you put it like that, it dosn't sound so bad. It was just the generalization of the teesside club members that was frustrating to read.

Im sorry to hear you were taken out by another racer in your final.
it is very annoying when it happens to you.

AndyM

Which final were you in and can you remember the colour of the transponder?

I have been through all the race records and cannot see a transponder that looked like it was going down.

AndyM 19-12-2007 09:39 PM

transponder '0' i was in the B Final,

it was the colour that is lowest on the rack (if that makes sense)

my best ever result aswell:mad:

Northy 19-12-2007 09:44 PM

I'm gonna have a word with Derek and see if we can do anything about it.... :(

hickston 19-12-2007 09:47 PM

are the results posted up anywhere yet?

AndyM 19-12-2007 09:53 PM

thanks northy! but i doubt there is anything because the race has finished etc. so there isn't any way of proving what posistion i got up to or anything, ahh well, life goes on, lol
