well i got the buggy out for its first run in the park today, as a RTR buggy i was very impressed with the initial speed but after a few minutes and a few tumbles the car seemed slower, took it home to find out i had lost a grub screw from the drive train so car was only running in front wheel drive......looks like i need some spare grub screws:lol: should i lock these screws in with something:confused:

cheers
paul

Dont worry about it, it happens to us all at some point but might be an idea to go over everything to make sure its tight with it being an already built up RTR kit, was a good turnout for buggies at seaham on sunday with 11-12 people racing :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Links Wanted !!!

can anybody send me links for wheels tires and inserts that will fit my tamiya touring car, think they are 12mm hexes...........:confused::confused:

cheers

cheapskate 25-08-2011 08:29 AM

Phills models stock them mate or you can order direct from schumachers site. you need 20mm wheels, yellow mini pins (20mm) and blue foams

Thanks for the reply, do you get many breakages with touring cars if so what parts normally break and what parts are good for spares other than tires and wheels...........

Ive currently got a tamiya TL-01, TB-01 and a HPI RS4 Rally, i dont think the 2 tamiyas will be much good for TC racing

But think the RS4 rally will be ok if i get some TC shocks so there will be less body roll

I was thinking of getting a cheap old yokomo MR4 TC but not sure about spares and think the wheels have an unusual fit so might be a problem getting them.......

cheers

beasty boys motorsport 25-08-2011 12:30 PM

whats with this touring car malarky steve, thought you were a buggy man through and through:lol:

P.S. even tho i have a buggy to play with, if anyone hears or see's a good buggy advertised anywhere let me know please, B44 ?, SCHUMACHER CAT ? ETC ETC

cheers
paul

TangerineDream 25-08-2011 12:54 PM

Steve, standard tc wheels should all fit fine, you may want to get some shims, that will solve any problems if wheels are catching on uprights or steering arms. The rally car may work a treat, I had the MR4 Rally back in the day, it was awesome and looked pretty good too!!
Buggy guys, if people want jumps etc I wouldn't mind making one over a few mats, the carpet rolls are awful, jumping off them was more like a half pipe!! Also we could have some mats out for bumps like we do as benfield

TangerineDream 25-08-2011 01:00 PM

Steve, if you are getting inserts try out some yellows too, softer than blue and more stable, makes q a big difference so worth seeing which you prefer
