firehawk 06-01-2008 12:24 AM

Not raced for 15 years found my old cars the other day and got them out and had a play!! everything still works!!!

Got the following

RC10 stealth
Lazer ZX
Schumacher Cougar

all running FM gear, lazer has a Tekin Speed control, RC10 has a srinkrapped speed controler, not sure of the make, The cougar has a tekin as well, various motors and 1400scr batteries and 1700sce's some are still good, and some are goosed!!

What cars are elegible?? is there anywhere i can find the rules??

quite fancy a go again now!!

quincey 21-01-2008 07:02 PM

whats the chances of me and a friend booking in for feb's vintage race?
and could i run any of the following:traxxas trx 3,cougar 2,losi xx maybe a bit to new, bosscat.
and if i could race could anyone give me the postcode for the place where you run and what time does it all start?

Col 21-01-2008 09:40 PM

Anyone can race, just turn up on the day and make it clear you're racing vintage.
Address is:
Huntington School
Huntington Road
Huntington
York YO32 9WT

quincey 22-01-2008 11:05 PM

:confused:if someone can please tell me if i can run a traxxas trx3 or cougar1 or 2 or a losi xx as im having allsorts of problems getting my spare rc10 stealth together for my friend it needs front shocks,a steering bell crank as mine is split, and a whole wing assembly.
if i could run one of the other spare cars it would be dead easy for me.
if not could i run a rc10t?:eh?:

terry.sc 23-01-2008 01:11 AM

Ade both the Traxxas TRX3 and the Losi XX came out in 1993, the Cougar 2 is also too late. The Cougar 1 should be okay though.

BTW sort out the RC10 steering with the MIP ballraced steering kit. You'll also find Tower have plenty of RC10 spares left, and even the MIP CVDs

Northy 23-01-2008 08:53 AM

Cougar 1 should be fine, but we don't enforce the 1990 rule 100%, it's more a guide ;)

For those people traveling a distance, please be aware that these races are held on a YORCC club night, doors open at 6pm and we're out of the hall by about 11pm.

You do usually get 4 rounds of qualifying and final, but it might be too far to travel depending where you are for a few hours.

If you can make it though it is great fun :D:D:D I'm not really sure why racing old cars is more fun, but it just is

19 turn motors are the norm btw. ;)

Don't think I've ever raced 4 rounds at York! Usual is 3 rounds and single leg finals. We have run 2 leg finals before, but only when it's been seriously quiet:D
