Pitting

Feedback please.

A few of the srcmcc committee visited the venue tonight to cross some t's etc and realised there's more space in the offices than first thought. So the question is simple.....

If you're worried about this HUGE venue being too cold to work on your cars would you prefer to pit separately in offices (easy to heat to good temp) or all together next to the track with the gas heating option?

Thanks,

Matt

DaSloth 05-12-2011 08:17 PM

i reckon out in the cold all together for a better atmosphere! we all go racing in silly conditions anyway, so a bit of cold inside will be ok.

just my 2p worth anyway.

TARTMAN 05-12-2011 08:18 PM

hmmmmm

I think, as the time of the year and the temps were likely to get, a nice warm office would be a great idea. then just 10 mins in the cold each race/marshall would be the minimum required for those that cant handle the cold(Dudders), So, i guess warm pitting would be nice but not essencial for me! I have some exra layers of cuddle for my warmth!!!!:woot:

yep got your PT

official shop I'm not sure

spenner 05-12-2011 09:52 PM

Just so people can get an idea.... you are looking around 30-40 people in some of these rooms. They are big, and although the building isn't as cold as last years Petit it would be nice to pit in rooms of around 25 - 40 people.

This was my first visit and i can honestly say the place is MASSIVE!!!

Sadly those with shops etc will have to pit around the track area but feel free to bring gazeebos, garden heaters (if you want to be really warm and posh...
The idea is to get a real good racing atmosphere.

mikeyscott 14-12-2011 09:22 PM

Looks like a great entry list and look forward to watching the pros at work on the track.

Fo me it'll be either Bloomers or Martin at the top.

TARTMAN 14-12-2011 09:25 PM

ditto on the top lot.

Should be a great load of rubbin/racin to be seen........... personally, the top lot are great, but the lower finals is also great, not so close but sometimes more fun..... shame more of the lower finals are not video'd more.
