the track is a lot higher than the stream running next to it, it would take alot of rain to flood it! I dont think theres any chance of our race meet getting called off. We will be there at 12. Hope to see you all there.

Only trying to help out, if the weathers too bad for a all grass track. Anyhow, its looking ok now

jameswilkinson7 16-08-2009 07:30 AM

No worries Sam. I think Simon got his wires crossed a little! Its going OK the area is coming along nicely now. Were starting to think about getting some permanent features set up. Also looking into the possibility of running 1/8th through the winter.... If that's OK with the other guys. The track area seems to have excellent drainage. Apparently it was used as a land fill years ago. Maybe that helps? Anyway as Steve says meeting up at 12 - 1 to prep track and race whatever the weather:D The model engineers will be there too with their trains.... Train rides 40p, BARGAIN:D

Hi Michael.
The site is located at Marley Outdoor Activities Centre Aireworth Road Keighley, West Yorkshire, BD21 4DB

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl...04737&t=h&z=18

The link is the actual area we race in. Its around the rear of the football piches. Turn to the right as you come in through the main entrance (through a white gate) Then follow it all the way around.
