Also a little comparison for those of you that were wondering about the differences between the TRF511 Upgraded chassis and the TRF503 chassis:)

Little bit of Diff gear prep being done ;)
400~600 grit sand paper to smooth out the back sides of the gears... they were very uneven and rough...:bored: http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps16798759.jpg and the progress so far:woot: http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps45dd288f.jpg |
So beautiful! :)

Great pictures keep them coming!

OK... few more updates..
How about a few new front hex options.. 12mm and 10mm 3mm~3.5mm thickness, so using a Kyosho ZX-5 / Losi 22-4 front rim should not be an issue for 12mm front wheels.. also the offset is only 0.5mm wider;) http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps268b8e64.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...psd1f4c936.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...psd3030ed4.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps188ae8d3.jpg |
How about some other parts that crossover from other Tamiya cars that work with the TRF503 :)
TRF417 Steel light weight outdrives... need two sets to make it work on one diff..;) http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...psc5129288.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps074448a5.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps54bfb799.jpg TRF201 Light weight vented slipper plates and TRF 501x Bulk head brace.. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...psc7c976ee.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...psa53b8964.jpg TA-06 Front 39T One way.. for you that are brave enough to use them  http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps54283b5a.jpg |
Chassis Build up is all done... ;) Off to build the shocks next and finish up the Electronics and wiring it up ;)

Had good luck with that location before on my TRF502x... the car reacted a little bit more to my liking with the shorter link :)
|
I see mate....you might change it back when you try the car;)
|
Cool...
I'll try both locations:) chassis length is a bit longer so if might be a different feeling:blush: |
yeah try both mate, the car is sharp even with it in the normal position.....noticed you didnt add the rear roll bar...a good move, i disconnected mine in a practice run:)
|
In respect of the front oneway, is the diff locked when under power? I always ran my Egress, Top Force and Yokomo YZ-10s with the one way, but the one one bearing was not in diff, it was elsewhere in the drive system of the respective buggy. Thus the front diff acted like a diff.
