There are exactly the same part made of plastic on one of the parts trees. Think I will get some gold ones for the bling factor although there is nothing wrong with the plastic ones:thumbsup:

Since the V3 wheels are 14mm hex (and not seeing stores carrying 14mm wheels yet), is it possible to fit the old hex&pin from 410/410R to use the old wheels?
|
Yes you can use your old wheels, the kit comes with the cone for the rear but you will need to switch over your current small front hex and pin.
|
I've just finished building my V3 however I seem to have a shed load of bits left over. The car seems complete and I've followed the steps. I have some unlabeled screw/washer bags left and quite a lot of plastic parts. Is this the same for all you ?
|
Yeah, i got two or three bags of spares included in the box of my R. Just some shims, washers and "bits and pieces".
And some of the plastic parts trees include extra/option parts, or parts for the full fat version. |
what is or are the differences between the original 410-bodyshell and the new V3-shell?
|
Have a look on Durango's web site and it's pretty clear what the changes are.
Slightly cab forward, air vents in better places to get cold air to the electrics, sides aren't stepped any more to give more room inside. |

Does have a look of a gainabull about it, but I really like it :)
Good work & keep us updated if you do a batch  |
Surely someone on here could photo shop it, adding a bit of a paint scheme, and put it on a car so we could see how it could look..
I imagine it will look pretty cool.. |
Very nice!, the type of shell that looks fast when stood still, I'd order one mate.
|
I was a bit away from the Durango Forum, could anybody explain to me if the V3 is already available? The German distributor shows no stock and the Durango website too, i think i rea somewhere that MB models, RC lazy and other British shops got stock so is it just sold out or what?

HI
On the durango build guide to diffs it says that it may be worth while to use the orings from a 408 is this still the thing to do with the v3 or has durango updated the seals for them? Thanks |
Seals the same as the ones from the 408 come supplied in the v3 kits now mate:thumbsup:
|
Ideal just dont want to start building to find out they was not
thanks |
They were in my kit anyhow. Might be worth firing Skelding a pm to check;)
|
The 408's seals are listed as std parts on the V3's parts list.
|
I have some kyosho and tresrey o rings from my previous ownership :)
|
They are in the kit , I took a pic and posted it a few pages back, as mentioned they are listed ,but as shock seals in the instructions
Fyi,Post #274 3rd pic down shows the seal |
The machined diff gear isnīt included int he V3, isnīt it? You have to buy it seperately?

i need to reposition the servo wire and adjust the spacing between the fr shocks and drive shaft  am i using the wrong standoffs?
|

|
does the new V3 have new rear hubs that use bigger bearings or are they the same as the previous models?
many thanks lewis |
The 1 degree hubs have the larger bearing but the 0 ones are the same small bearing as before. Or they were in my kit anyway.

Same for me and yes the Front Spring Retianers touch the Universals slightly when on the inner hole on the wishbone. Moved it to the outer hole. Should be fine, if i need the inner hole i will use a small spacer.
