There are exactly the same part made of plastic on one of the parts trees. Think I will get some gold ones for the bling factor although there is nothing wrong with the plastic ones:thumbsup:

Same, im going to get a pack and then i will have a few for the DEX210 when it arrives :)

Since the V3 wheels are 14mm hex (and not seeing stores carrying 14mm wheels yet), is it possible to fit the old hex&pin from 410/410R to use the old wheels?

Bungleaio 30-09-2011 05:39 AM

Yes you can use your old wheels, the kit comes with the cone for the rear but you will need to switch over your current small front hex and pin.

I've just finished building my V3 however I seem to have a shed load of bits left over. The car seems complete and I've followed the steps. I have some unlabeled screw/washer bags left and quite a lot of plastic parts. Is this the same for all you ?

mattr 03-10-2011 07:12 AM

Yeah, i got two or three bags of spares included in the box of my R. Just some shims, washers and "bits and pieces".

And some of the plastic parts trees include extra/option parts, or parts for the full fat version.

Lowie 03-10-2011 12:41 PM

what is or are the differences between the original 410-bodyshell and the new V3-shell?

JohnM 03-10-2011 01:30 PM

Have a look on Durango's web site and it's pretty clear what the changes are.

Slightly cab forward, air vents in better places to get cold air to the electrics, sides aren't stepped any more to give more room inside.

Mike Parker 06-10-2011 02:20 PM

Does have a look of a gainabull about it, but I really like it :)

Good work & keep us updated if you do a batch

Dazzler 06-10-2011 03:21 PM

Surely someone on here could photo shop it, adding a bit of a paint scheme, and put it on a car so we could see how it could look..

I imagine it will look pretty cool..

ASR 06-10-2011 03:33 PM

Very nice!, the type of shell that looks fast when stood still, I'd order one mate.

muratti 07-10-2011 07:01 AM

Robocop 08-10-2011 10:26 AM

HI
On the durango build guide to diffs it says that it may be worth while to use the orings from a 408 is this still the thing to do with the v3 or has durango updated the seals for them?
Thanks

GRIFF55 08-10-2011 10:34 AM

Seals the same as the ones from the 408 come supplied in the v3 kits now mate:thumbsup:

Robocop 08-10-2011 11:19 AM

Ideal just dont want to start building to find out they was not
thanks

GRIFF55 08-10-2011 02:07 PM

They were in my kit anyhow. Might be worth firing Skelding a pm to check;)

JohnM 08-10-2011 02:21 PM

The 408's seals are listed as std parts on the V3's parts list.

mikeyscott 08-10-2011 02:23 PM

I have some kyosho and tresrey o rings from my previous ownership :)

Andyp 08-10-2011 02:24 PM

They are in the kit , I took a pic and posted it a few pages back, as mentioned they are listed ,but as shock seals in the instructions

Fyi,Post #274 3rd pic down shows the seal

muratti 08-10-2011 05:02 PM

The machined diff gear isnīt included int he V3, isnīt it? You have to buy it seperately?

shark 08-10-2011 05:08 PM

I think that's been the case for a while now, it's not just a V3 thing.

daywalker 17-10-2011 09:40 AM

daywalker 18-10-2011 02:07 PM

..I have some situation but I think it's all is correct...

lewis666 18-10-2011 03:32 PM

does the new V3 have new rear hubs that use bigger bearings or are they the same as the previous models?

many thanks

lewis

Bungleaio 18-10-2011 03:49 PM

The 1 degree hubs have the larger bearing but the 0 ones are the same small bearing as before. Or they were in my kit anyway.

yes, i did not have the bearings for the 0deg hubs in the kit however

muratti 18-10-2011 06:18 PM

Same for me and yes the Front Spring Retianers touch the Universals slightly when on the inner hole on the wishbone. Moved it to the outer hole. Should be fine, if i need the inner hole i will use a small spacer.
