do you cater for m chassis style cars?

lazysurfer 09-08-2011 07:47 AM

Well guys another good turnout with 17 racers - not bad for the time of year with people away on holiday. Nice to see Chris Stewart finally join us for some “drift racing” ;-)
Hope you enjoyed it enough to come back Chris - the buggy final certainly looked like a good close race.
Grip seemed a bit down on the previous week but then the hall was a lot cooler so it would be.
Don’t forget we’re racing next Monday but will miss the following 2 - that’s NO RACING 22nd & 29th August
Also very strangely its been mentioned that we could run one less round of racing each week as some people are finding it stressfull being pushed to get their cars ready!!!!
Not as stressfull as it is for me trying to get you to get your cars ready!!!
I certainly don’t want to loose a round and I suspect most people don’t - correct me if I’m wrong.
However if anyone does want to miss a round please feel free to sit one out and relax for a few minutes - thoughts on this anyone?

See you all next week

Not totally sure what you mean by M chassis but if it's electric and 1/10th scale bring it along.

LOSE A ROUND OF RACING:p
thats like going for a round of golf and only playing 15 holes, i havnt been racing long but i enjoy the 5 rounds of driving and if the club is paying for the hall for 3 hours and it takes all the effort to set the track up and put it away at the end of the night, shoudnt we try to get as much racing out of the night as possible, i hope more racers feel the same way cos it would be a shame to lose a round of racing:thumbdown:

M chassis is a 1/10th mini chassis by tamiya, but there are also other company now doing mini class racing, think car sizes like a suzuki swift, Mini, fiesta...................1/10th scale size but shorter wheel base and smaller bodies to fit, cheaper form of racing :thumbsup::thumbsup:

bang on mate, it is a 1/10th scale car that uses shells such as mini, fiat 500 etc, however blitz and spice do mini touring car shells for them as i have recieved mine this morning lol, there fwd/rwd although i think a company or 2 does 4wd versions anyway they run on rubber tyres and 6 cells/2s lipo lol oh and there small wheelbases

5 rounds for me Mark:thumbsup:
i take it it's the buggies that are getting stressed trying to get their cars ready- probably because they break something every heat:lol::lol:
only joking buggy lads- if you need to do repairs ask someone to cover your marshalling to get some extra time:thumbsup::thumbsup:

see you's next week

Mal

Bring it along. We don't have a seperate class but a couple pf guys have ran them before. You won't be competitive with the top 4WD heat but hopefully will get some close racing with some of the lads in the second heat.

What tyres would you use ?
we run 20mm schumacher mini pins
, would these fit your chassis?

lazysurfer 16-08-2011 07:44 AM

Well 14 turned up last night, 12tc’s and 2 buggies with Gary Shears making his return to racing eventually and posting some good times. I expect Jim to join him in 3 weeks.
Close racing in heat 2 and the B final as well with Peter Anderson giving Mal a hard time for most of the night.
Gone back to booking people in as they arrive but will be checking my list against Gary’s paid list before racing starts - this lets us get started on track earlier.
Don’t forget no racing for the next 2 weeks, that’s 22nd and 29th - back on the 5th September.
See you all back then.
